Miron Schmückle, Matthias Geisler, Stefan Schwarzer, Kuration: Federico Brauer

With a focus on drawing and painting on paper deal Stefan Schwarzer, Matthias Geisler and Miron Schmückle themselves with nature to reconstruct the landscapes they surround themselves with according to their own expression.
Each of them uses the pencils like brushes, the surfaces are criss-crossed with fine, coloured lines in which one can feel the telluric and mineral texture of the pigments. The vivid and saturated hues, the unsteady sinuous lines form a construction in which each natural element is spontaneously interwoven with the other.

They are drawings that reflect a familiarity and at the same time otherness of nature. Miron Schmückle uses watercolour and coloured pencils to paint fantastic, extraterrestrial flowers inspired by naturally occurring species.
Stefan Schwarzer and Matthias Geisler have a special eye for the uniqueness of these seemingly ordinary places and highlight the individuality either through unusual composition or fancy colours. They use striking colour schemes and dynamic patterns, as well as textures, to create hallucinatory images. Here, too, the figuration is precise, if not colour-accurate.
