Falko Kitsche | Habitat

14.07.2023 – 22.07.2023 @ shower

Der Leipziger Maler Falko Kitsche zeigt aktuelle Arbeiten in seiner Diplomausstellung ‚Habitat‘.

Ruthlessly and genuinely presents Falko Kitsche depicts both the decay and the unconditional, imperfect beauty of nature. He creates atmospheric landscapes surrounded by dramatic veracity.
The painter processes his nature-loving upbringing and the concomitant observation of life cycles marked by normality by depicting all facets of the same in an unadorned manner within his oil paintings and prints. Based on his nature studies, drawings and photographs, the artist creates his very own, characteristic and na-turalistic landscapes in which occasional surrealistic elements can be found.

Central to his works are the questions of what exactly nature is and whether it still exists at all. Thus, on a meta-level, he opens the dialogue between the complete absence of human representations and its simultaneously existing, obligatory correspondence, just as extraordinary presence within nature. In this respect, Falko Kitsche refers to both direct and indirect interventions in all natural spaces and ecosystems, whereby he also addresses the question of the extent to which human existence, especially with regard to its own established sense of hegemonic superiority, sees itself as belonging to nature?
